Micropile pipe

A micropile pipe is the main structural element of a micropile, used in geotechnical engineering and foundations to reinforce or support loads in difficult ground conditions.

What is a micro pile?

A micro pile is a type of small-diameter pile (generally between 80 and 300 mm) that is driven into the ground by drilling and injecting cement grout.

The casing fulfils several key functions:

  • Load-bearing element: it works under compression and/or tension, transmitting loads to the ground.
  • Structural reinforcement: it acts as the main reinforcement of the micro pile.
  • Injection channel (in some systems): it allows the grout or mortar to be introduced.

Typical characteristics

  • Material: structural steel (usually seamless or reinforced welded pipes), in grades N- 80 and S355.
  • Diameter: we offer diameters ranging from 60 mm to 200 mm.
  • Thickness: depends on the loads (may vary between 5 mm and 20 mm or more).

May be:

  • Smooth pipe machined at the ends with male/female threads, according to project specifications.
  • Pipe with valves (IR or IGU type) for repeated grouting
