Passive anchors with continuous threaded bars are permanent anchors, as they are protected against corrosion by cement grout injected between the bar and a ribbed and corrugated HDPE sleeve.
The distance between the spacers is less than 2 meters, and the spacers placed at the ends are located less than 0.5 meters from the end itself. The first step in the process is to position the spacers on the bar. This step ensures that the bar is properly centered inside the corrugated tube.
The coating on the pre-injected HDPE pipes must not be damaged during loading, unloading, and on-site handling. The pipe is subsequently covered with a corrugated sleeve to ensure protection against corrosion. The sleeve is made of high-quality corrugated HDPE plastic, with a minimum thickness of 1.2 mm and manufactured without seams.
Next, the pipe is secured by hand by inserting a PVC plug held in place with electrical tape to prevent the cement mixture introduced during the “pre-injection” process from leaking out.
The product undergoes a “pre-injection” phase, during which a mixture of cement and a chemical additive is injected. The injection process (for which a suitable pump is used) must be performed from the bottom up in order to completely fill the space between the corrugated pipe and the continuous threading bar. A transparent vent tube is placed at the top; when the mixture emerges through it, the injection process is considered complete.
Once the “pre-injection” phase is complete, the bars are left to dry and cure until they reach their final state. They are then cleaned and prepared for packaging.
At the end of the production process, the packaging stage begins, which involves preparing solid bundles to prevent the mixture from cracking during transport. Once this step is complete, the bars are ready for delivery to the customer. Throughout the entire production process, several stages are carried out by hand to ensure the high quality of GeoElements products.
